David received his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and his Doctorate degree in Psychology at the University of Denver.  David has been in behavioral health management for 10 years, and currently works as a Director of Behavioral Health and EAP teams in Denver. Prior to working in management, David worked as a psychotherapist specializing in crisis intervention and working with adolescents and adults with anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. He also works at a local hospital with patients who need emergency psychiatric services. In his spare time, David enjoys sports, reading, and serves as a chauffeur to his 3 kids.

Sarah received her Bachelor Degree in Psychology from The George Washington University and her Master Degree in Social Work from The Catholic University of America.  Sarah interned with the Department of Mental Health in Washington DC and at the Psychiatric Institute of Washington.  After receiving her MSW,  Sarah was on an homeless outreach team in Washington, DC for many years working with chronically mentally ill homeless adults. Liza Bonanno, MD

Dr. Liza Bonanno, a board certified psychiatrist, treated patients for nearly 20 years in North Carolina and Ohio before joining Anthem as a medical director in 2008. She completed her undergraduate degree with honors at Brown University and her medical degree at the University of North Carolina (UNC) – Chapel Hill.  She also received Internal Medicine training at UNC before completing Psychiatry residency training at Wake Forest University. In addition to her medical director duties, she has served as an associate professor at Wright State University and as a columnist for the Dayton Daily News. She and her husband, who is also a doctor, have 3 children.

Jessica got her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Chapman University and her Master’s degree in Counseling at California State University, Fullerton. She completed her internship hours through working at nonprofit community mental health agencies where she worked with children and adolescents and specialized in the 0-5 age range with preschool-aged children and the psychological issues that affect their development and their families.  Jessica is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Play Therapy. Rachel received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology from University of Wyoming and her Master of Arts in Counseling, from Regis University.   Rachel has over 10 years working in the mental health field where she supervised and practiced therapy in a variety of settings including private practice, outpatient and residential programs.  Currently, she works as a Behavioral Health and EAP Care Manager with Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield.  Her background and areas of specialization are Substance Use Disorders, Trauma, Mood disorders, and Binge Eating.  During leisure time, she spends time with her family and enjoys using several creative outlets for balance and self-care.
