Make Your New Year’s Resolutions Stick

KC O'Brien, LPC

We have all been there. The New Year arrives and we make a list of things we want to change about ourselves.  Maybe we want to lose weight or exercise more or increase our savings account.  Whatever the resolution, as January turns into February and winter turns into spring, these goals become harder and harder to stick with and by midyear our resolutions are a thing of the past.

Luckily this does not always have to be the case! According to this article from the American Psychological Association, there are steps we can take when creating our New Year’s resolutions that make us more likely to stick with them.
